Pear Cake 

with browned butter & vanilla bean

Pear Cake with browned butter and a hint of vanilla bean is perfect in it’s simplicity. It’s super easy to make yet is a totally satisfying treat that you’ll bake over and over again.

– Sugar  – Pears  – Butter – Vanilla bean  – All purpose flour  – Baking powder – Salt – Eggs

Ingredients

Brown the butter and add the vanilla seeds. Peel and chop the pears.

Whisk the eggs and sugar then whisk in the browned butter. Whip the batter then fold in the flour.

Fold the chopped pears into the batter and spread the batter in the pan. Lay one pear slice on top.

Sprinkle the top of the cake with sugar. Bake until golden brown. Cool 20 minutes before releasing the pan. Enjoy slightly warm or at room temperature.
