American Apple Pie

Apple Pie is the quintessential autumn dessert. This classic pie has a filling made from  apples, brown sugar, cinnamon & a splash of lemon juice. The delicious filling is enveloped in a flawlessly flaky crust.

– Pie Crust – Apples  – Granulated sugar  – Brown sugar  – Salt – Lemon juice – Cornstarch – Cinnamon – Egg white

Ingredients

–Toss the apples with the sugar and   salt. Set it aside for 3-4 hours.

–Drain the juice from the apples   and cook it with cornstarch to   thicken. –Fold the thickend juice and   cinnamon into the apples.

–Roll the dough to fit a 9" deep dish    pie pan then pour the apples into    the pan. –Cut an apple shaped hole in the top    crust.  –Bake until the crust is golden brown    and the apples are tender.
