Glazed Apple Cinnamon  Bread 

Apple Cinnamon Swirl Bread is made with rich yeasted bread dough studded with chunks of fresh apples and swirled with brown sugar and cinnamon. The loaves are topped with apple glaze.

– milk  – butter  – yeast – granulated sugar – salt – cinnamon – eggs  – all-purpose flour  – apples  – brown sugar  – powdered sugar

Ingredients

Mix the dough. Knead it for 5 minutes then set it aside to rise until doubled in volume.

Toss the apple cubes with sugar and set aside to macerate. Drain the apples, reserving the juice. Blot the apple cubes dry.

Fold the dough over to encase the apples. Knead the apples into the dough. Mix brown sugar & cinnamon.

Spread the cinnamon sugar over the dough. Roll the dough from the short side to form a loaf.

Set the loaves aside to rise. Mix the powdered sugar and apple juice to make a glaze.

Bake the loaf until the internal temp is 200F. Turn the dough out of the pan while it’s still warm. Spread the glaze and set the loaves aside to cool to room temperature or very slightly warm before slicing.
